Bringing Tudor Learning to Life
Our Year 8 pupils enjoyed a brilliant trip to Hampton Court Palace this week as part of their deep dive into the Tudor period.
The pupils have been focusing on the significant religious and social changes that occurred under the Tudors. To bring this learning to life, they began their day with an interactive workshop centred around the ‘religious rollercoaster’ with a highly knowledgeable tour guide. Walking through the magnificent Palace, the pupils visited key locations such as The Great Hall and the Privy Chambers, exploring how faith and power shifted so dramatically during this era.
After a quick lunch, the historical exploration continued as the students toured the Tudor Kitchens and the beautiful Chapel Royal. They even saw the very spot where Henry VIII married Katherine Parr.
It was an incredible experience to stand and explore where such titans of History once stood, cementing their classroom learning in a memorable and enjoyable way.
