OUR LOCATION

A Beautiful London Setting

Our school is a beautiful, bright and friendly environment where pupils can learn and grow. All our spaces have been created to instil curiosity and develop a love of exploration and learning.

We are located in the heart of Kensington, across four spacious Grade-II listed Victorian townhouses, which have been designed to a bespoke educational standard. Our proximity to museums and Hyde Park means that children truly experience London as a classroom. What also makes us so unique, however, is our two-acre Secret Garden at the back of the school.

Creative Spaces, Inspiring Imagination

We have rejected the outdated belief that children have to sit in straight lines on single desks and have created forward-thinking spaces that encourage academic learning, as well as collaboration and creativity. Our classrooms are more than simply functional: they use space, light and resources to inspire both teachers and pupils.

Pupils enjoy access to classrooms, play areas, a state-of-the-art science lab, two art studios, a beautiful music room and our multi-purpose and bold Makerspace.

Children buzz with excitement when they explore the Makerspace. From green-screen technology and 3D printing to craft and construction, this innovative environment enables our pupils to bring their ideas to life.

We place an emphasis on practical projects to support children in learning beyond the curriculum, developing skills such as communication, collaboration and advanced problem solving.

Our Two-acre Secret Garden

The jewel in our crown is our two-acre Secret Garden. We believe it to be the largest garden of any Prep School in central London! The Secret Garden is set directly behind the school, with a magical path that connects the space to our own outdoor classroom.

This access to outdoor space means that we are able to run a Forest School programme, emphasising outdoor learning and the importance of environmental responsibility.

Come rain or shine, the outdoors is an integral part of daily life at Brighton College Prep Kensington. Children enjoy fun, hands-on, practical experiences as a part of the curriculum throughout the year.

By using the garden as an extension of the classroom, we help our pupils develop enquiring minds and nurture their curiosity about the greater world around them.

Sporting Life

Pupils use the fantastic on-site facilities including our garden areas and the main school hall for sports and games.

As pupils progress through the school, they take part in games off-site. Children go next door to Imperial College where they enjoy use of the Ethos Centre, including the sports hall and the swimming pool.

PE lessons take place at Imperial College Beit Sports Hall, a short 5-minute walk from school. We also make full use of the expansive fields at Hyde Park throughout the year!

"The support from everyone at Brighton College was immense and gave me a massive opportunity to succeed in professional sport and beyond."
